I started out on the acquisition side, running demand gen campaigns and carrying a top-of-funnel number. After a few years I moved into building the systems behind the pipeline rather than just feeding it. Knowing how an MQL actually gets created makes it much easier to build the thing that scores it, routes it to the right rep and shows what it cost to acquire. These days I build what revenue teams run on: outbound that fills top of funnel, lead routing that gets an SQL in front of a rep while they’re still interested, AI agents that keep account data current, and multi-touch attribution that ties spend to closed revenue so you can defend CAC in front of finance.
